Parity has been on a rise via soccer, with Iceland and Panama reaching a World Cup for a first time. Italy, a Netherlands and a United States were among a nations that unsuccessful to validate for a 32-nation field.
The World Cup is scheduled to enhance to 48 nations for a 2026 contest in a United States, Mexico and Canada.
