President Trump used a Rose Garden news discussion Monday with Nigerian boss Muhammadu Buhari to pull for a North American bid to horde the 2026 World Cup.

"I wish all African countries and countries via the universe that we also will be ancillary you, and that they will further support us in the bid along with Canada and Mexico for a 2026 World Cup," Trump said.

FIFA will confirm between North America and Morocco to horde the eventuality when officials for soccer's ruling body meet June 13 in Moscow.

"We will be examination very closely," Trump said, "and any assistance they could give us in that bid we would appreciate."

However, Trump's difference could potentially be seen as a hazard to countries that conflict the three-pronged North American bid of a U.S., Canada and Mexico. That would be in defilement of FIFA's formula of ethics, that prohibit supervision interference in countries' soccer federations. 

Soccer federations from European countries such as Russia, France and Belgium have announced they will behind Morocco. Several African nations also are approaching to behind the bid, creation the competition closer than formerly expected.

Trump tweeted his support for a joint World Cup bid final week, observant it would be a "shame" if U.S. allies lobbied opposite it. 

In a matter to Reuters, FIFA said: "As a ubiquitous rule, we can't comment on specific statements in tie with a bidding process.
